Jupiter
The largest planet in the system, a gas giant whose mass is greater than that of every other planet combined. Its Great Red Spot is an anticyclonic storm that has been active for centuries, wider than Earth itself. Its four largest moons — Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto — were discovered by Galileo in 1610.
